Yara Sayeh Shahidi was born on the 10th of February 2000, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Her father Afshin Shahidi is a photographer while her mother Keri-Salter Shahidi is a housewife. Shahidi’s younger brother Sayeed Shahidi is also an actor and model while she has two little brothers Sayeed and Ehsan. Also, the famous rapper Nas is their second cousin. She is of African-American ancestry on her mother’s side and Iranian descent on her dad’s side. When Yara was just 4 years old, her entire family moved to California for better opportunities.
