Early Life
Nicky Jam was born Nick Rivera Caminero on the 17th of May 1981 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. His father is from Puerto Rico and his mother is Dominican. When he was 10 years old his family moved to Puerto Rico. Coming from a poor household Nicky began working at a young age packing bags and groceries in a local supermarket in an attempt to provide for his family. During his breaks, Nicky would rap at the entrance of the supermarket where he polished his skills. One day he caught the attention of a woman who worked for record labels, and she offered him a contract. He quickly accepted and that was how he recorded his first album …Distinto a Los demás when he was only 11 years old. Despite the album not being successful it let him gain experience and work with big names in the industry like DJ Chiclin and some others.

In 2015 Nicky Jam first saw Colombian model and TV host, Angélica Cruz, and they began dating shortly after. After two years of dating the couple got married in November 2017. T he beautiful marriage ceremony was held at Medellin, Colombia, and was attended by high-profile celebrities such as Vin Diesel, J Balvin, and many others. However, their relationship did not last long and they filed for divorce in August of 2018. Nicky Jam has three daughters named Yarimar Rivera, Alyssa Rivera, and Luciana Rivera, and 1 son named Joe Martin Rivera. All of his children are from his previous relationships.

Since then he continued to appear in films including The Keys of Christmas (2017), an American biographical series El Ganador (2018), as Lorenzo “Zway-Lo” Rodriguez in Bad Boys for Life (2020), as well as provided vocals for the character of Butch Cat in the computer-animated film Tom & Jerry (2021).
