Early Life

Faheem Rashad NajmT-Pain” was born in Florida on the 30th September 1985. His stage name is a short nickname for “Tallahassee Pain” and was chosen because of the hardships he experienced while living there. T-Pain grew up in a Muslim household where he expressed his lack of interest in the concept of the religion. At the age of 10, he turned his bedroom into a music studio where he started to make his own beats for the first time.

In 2001 T-Pain first met Amber Najm and the two began dating. Later in 2003, the couple got married. They have three children two sons Muziq and Kaydnz Kodah and a daughter named Lyriq. In early 2007 T-Pain found himself involved in a golf cart accident.
