NBA Career And Stats

During the NBA draft of 2014, Spencer Dinwiddie made it in the second round. He was the 38th player to be drafted by the Detroit Pistons. After the draft, he signed with the Pistons on a three-year contract. He made his first professional appearance for the the team on October 29, 2014; playing just seven minutes from the bench, he made one assist in the game. In his first two seasons, Dinwiddie shared his playing time between Pistons and their G-League affiliate Grand Rapids Drive. He averaged 4.8 points and 3.1 assists per game in the 2014/15 season and in the 2015/16 season; he had 4.8 points and 1.8 assists per game. At the end of the 2015/16 season, Spencer Dinwiddie was traded to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for the Australian star Cameron Bairstow. He was waived by the Bulls in October 2016. Afterwards, he joined Windy City Bulls of the NBA Development League; he played nine games for the Bulls, averaging 3.7 rebounds, 8.1 assists, and 19.4 points per game.

In December 2016, he signed with the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association; making his debut in their game against the San Antonio Spurs. Although they lost the game with a record of 112 – 107; Spencer had two assists, one rebound, and six points while he played 10 minutes off the bench. At the end of the season, he averaged 3.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 7.3 points per game. The following season, he had 6.6 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 12.6 points per game.
