Wardell Stephen Curry Sr. is an American former professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association from 1986 until 2002 and retired as the Charlotte Hornets’ all-time leader in points and three-point field goals made.

Dell Curry came into the highlight in August 2021, when he and his long-time wife Sonya Curry announced the news of their divorce. Dell also went on to publicly announce that Sonya was cheating on him by maintaining relationships with other men behind his back. While his son Stephen Curry did not take this well and went on to say that he was disappointed at his father talking about the infidelity factor to the media.
In between his sporting career, Dell also established a Montessori school along with his former wife Sonya in North Carolina. Career
Although he represented his state at various national-level games, Dell Curry was first signed in for the 1986 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. The next season he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers and then went on to play for the Charlotte Hornets. While playing for the hornets he had a major role in many of their victories as a team. He then went on to play for the Milwaukee Bucks for one season. His last three years as a player was spent playing for the Toronto Raptors team. Post his career as a player he went on to be the assistant coach of the Charlotte Hornets and in the year 2009, he started working as a commentator for the Charlotte Hornets. He was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. In the year 2016, he was given the Bobby Jones Award.
