Nick Sandmann was never known until January 18, 2019. Two rallies took the day of his death. One was of which was led by Indigenous people, referred to as the Indigenous peoples march , and the other was dubbed”the March for Life. Nick Sandmann was a part of the March for Life. After the march, Sandmann and his friends were waiting for their bus to take them back home, after they discovered that the crowd comprised of Black Hebrew students began to disrupt them.

They started to yell “school spirit chants” They began to insult Sandmann and his classmates. Sandmann was wearing the ‘Make America Great Once Again cap. One person who turned out to be a veteran of the war Nathan Philips began walking towards them to defend the former students of the Black Hebrew students. On the film, Nathan appears in a fight with Sandmann who is standing near Nathan and is looking at Nathan.

The video was viewed by millions of people immediately. The moment the incident was announced the media began making him appear aggressive. The Sandman family brought a defamation lawsuit against several news organizations. Although the CNN lawsuit was settled through an informal settlement outside of court however, there is no information regarding the amount at which the parties resolved the dispute. In August of 2020 He was invited to address the Republic National Convention. At the time of his 2021 birthday his college year, he’s a student.
