Career
While at the school, Nick formed a band with Mick Harvey, Phill Calvert, John Cochivera, Brett Purcell, and Chris Coyne. They named the band, Birthday Party and released several albums back in date. However, the band disbanded in 1983. Soon later, Nick formed another band, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds along with Harvey and Blixa Bargeld. The band has released 16 albums altogether and currently consists of members, Warren Ellis, Martyn P. Casey, George Vjestica, Toby Dammit, Thomas Wydler, and Jim Sclavunos. Along with Warren, Maryn, and Jim, Nick formed Grinderman in 2006. The band released only two studio albums.
