Ja’Marr Chase grew up in Louisiana, attended Archbishop Rummel High School and registered 115 receptions for 2,152 yards and 30 touchdowns during his high school career. He earned a full scholarship to Louisiana State University. As a true freshman, he featured in all games, started 8 and recorded 23 receptions for 313 yards and three touchdowns. Chase was named unanimous All-American in his sophomore year and awared the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the best receiver in college football. He chose to sit out his junior year and declare for the NFL draft right after. The Cincinnati Bengals selected him fifth overall. The 21-year-old made his professional debut against the Minnesota Vikings. Chase was selected in the 2022 Pro Bowl and finished his rookie campaign with 81 receptions for 1,455 yards (4th in the NFL) and 13 receiving touchdowns (3rd).
