Early Life
Fred Savage, born Frederick Aaron Savage was born on July 9, 1976, to Joanne and Lewis Savage. Savage was raised in Glencoe, Illinois. They later moved to California. He has two siblings, Ben Savage who is also an actor, and Kala, who is an actress and musician as well. Their father worked as a Consultant and Industrial Real Estate broker. He attended a private day school “the Brentwood School” in Los Angeles County and then went on to study at Stanford University, became a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English in 1999.

He then appeared as a guest in television shows like “The Twilight Zone” and “Crime Story”, as well as in films like “The Boy Who Could Fly” (1986) and “Dinosaurs! – A Fun-Filled Trip Back in Time!” (1987). It wasn’t until the 1987 film “The Princess Bride”, in which he played the role of grandson, that he really started garnering national attention though.

In the 2018 program ‘The Grinder,’ Savage was also accused by a wardrobe crew member, Younjoo Hwang, of fostering a hostile work atmosphere.
