Early Life
Anthony Davis was born on March 11, 1993 in Chicago, Illinois to Anthony Sr. and Erainer. He has a twin sister named Antoinette and an older sister named Lesha. As a teen, Davis went to Perspectives Charter School, where he played high school basketball. Despite being initially unnoticed both locally and nationally, he soon became recognized when he began playing on Tai Streets’ Meanstreets traveling system in his junior year. Davis earned a plethora of honors for his basketball playing during high school; among them, he was a first-team Parade All-American and a McDonald’s All-American. He also played in the Nike Hoops Summit, leading the USA basketball team to a 92-80 victory over the world team. A week later at the Jordan Brand Classic game, Davis was named co-MVP after recording 29 points and 11 rebounds.

Career
Anthony started playing basketball for his high school, Perspectives Charter School. While Davis was there, he played in different leagues.
Also, the tall height made him shoot without interruption. As a result, the athlete received many honors, including the 2011 McDonald’s All-American Game, 10th Annual Jordan Brand Classic, first-team Parade All-American, and several more. After completing high school, many universities like Syracuse University, DePaul, Ohio State, and the University of Kentucky approached Anthony. Therefore, he went to the latter one. After that, AD played for one year at Kentucky. The NBA player even helped the college in lifting the NCAA championship in 2011.
The following year, New Orleans Hornet, known as the New Orleans Pelicans, drafted Davis. From 2012 to 2019, AD assisted the team in winning many championships.
