Ansel Elgort is an American actor and singer. He began his acting career with a supporting role in the horror film Carrie and gained wider recognition for starring as a teenage cancer patient in the romantic drama film The Fault in Our Stars and for his supporting role in The Divergent Series.

Early Life
Ansel Elgort was born on March 14th of 1994 in New York City. Raised by an established fashion photographer and an opera director, Ansel had close ties to the entertainment industry from a very early age. He is also closely related to prominent comedian Sam Morrill. Named after nature photographer Ansel Adams, Elgort was raised alongside two siblings in a family with Jewish and European heritage. His grandmother was a Norweigian war hero who saved small Jewish children during World War II. She was later put in a concentration camp but survived the holocaust. Elgort initially studied at the School of American of Ballet for five years, starting at age nine. He also studied at various art schools throughout his youth, eventually taking acting classes at the age of 12. Ansel then began appearing in various plays staged by his school. During this period, he appeared alongside young actors such as Kyle Jean-Baptiste. During these high school years, Ansel also found time to cultivate a modeling career, appearing in “Teen Vogue” while being photographed by his father.
Personal Life
While studying in high school, Ansel Elgort first met Violetta Komyshan who is a dancer. Shortly after they two started dating in 2012 and dated for almost 2 years and then parted ways in August 2014. After 6 months of breakup, Elgort and Komyshan again started their relationship and have since been enjoying a luxurious lifestyle. Apart from having success in both his music and acting career, Ansel also faced some troubles in his life. In early 2020 a lady on social media accused Ansel of s#xual assaulting her in the year 2014 when Elgort was 20 and she was around 17 years old. After there Ansel quickly denied the allegations on social media posts, stating the relationship was consensual and short.

Career
Ansel Elgort did more than act in movies and T.V. shows. He put out his first record, called “Unite,” on iTunes and Beatport under the label. He also released electronic dance tracks under the name Ansolo. In 2014, he got a record deal with Tom Staar’s Staar Traxx and Steve Angello’s Size Records. His other big interest is music, and he has put out a number of tracks over the course of his career. On July 21, his second song, “Totem,” came out. He also performed at the Electric Zoo Festival in 2014.
Ansel Elgort was on a song called “Killing Spree” from Logic’s third studio album, “Everybody,” which came out in 2017. Since then, he has been a featured artist on several music projects, like DJ Don Diablo’s single “Believe” and the songs “Something’s Coming,” “Maria,” and “Balcony Scene (Tonight). “One Hand, One Heart, Cool,” and “Tonight” from the West Side Story: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album (Quintet).
